2022, similar to 2020 and 2021, has been a year full of minor and major delays to a wide variety of games.

A certain Father and Son’s sequel adventure that was originally planned for release in 2021, was ultimately pushed to 2022. God of War Ragnarok has reportedly been delayed until 2023. Or maybe not?

Gamereactor Spain is claiming that several European sources have told them that GOWR won’t be gracing the PS4 and PS5 until early next year.

Not so fast! Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who has leaked plenty of major delays in the past, says his sources have told him differently. Below is his comment from ResetEra:

It’s hard to definitely prove a negative but Someone Who Would Know Firsthand just told me they haven’t heard anything about a slip to 2023, as did Someone Else Who Might Know Secondhand.

I’m going to take Jason’s word over Gamereactor’s sources. The Summer Game Fest event commences tomorrow as we get many announcements about already revealed games and potentially new games. Could a new God of War Ragnarok release date trailer be part of the presentation?

Many have pointed out that the PlayStation Store page has been updated today, which is similar to what happened to Final Fantasy XVI before the new trailer closed the latest State of Play.
