The rumors are TRUE. As Capcom continues to remake the Resident Evil series, transforming it into one coherent storyline based on survival horror gameplay, it’s time for Resident Evil 4 to get its new coat of paint, only on current-gen consoles.

While there will be changes to the overall game and storyline, Capcom made the following statement:

This time, the game is being developed to achieve state-of-the-art quality for a survival horror suitable for 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game. We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it. This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics and updating the controls to a modern standard.

Modern controls, Brah! They also announced the game will receive some kind of PSVR2 content, which is fantastic news for us VR fans.

While we won’t be getting our hands on with the Resident Evil 4 Remake until March 24th, 2023, as a longtime fan of the series, I can freaking wait to experience the insanity remade for old and new generations of gamers!
