We all love to poke fun at the Call of Duty franchise but the craziest part is that it has been the best-selling series in the US for the past decade.

Yes, massive sales doesn’t mean a game is good, but without Sony currently having a major FPS in their roster of exclusives, they see their continued relationship with Activision as a good business decision and the need to fill a void.

Their partnership continues this year, as at the end of the new Call of Duty: Vanguard trailer we get confirmation that the PS4 & PS5 will once again receive ‘exclusive PlayStation benefits’ only on the Sony family of consoles until at least November 1st, 2022. Which means around the time of the next CoD game, almost making it pointless considering how fast most fans drop the game as soon as the next hit.

Call of Duty: Vanguard hasn’t received as much praise the way Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite have, so it’ll be interesting to see how well it does this year when it releases on November 5th on the PS4 and PS5.
