Insomniac Games has been one of, if not the best of Sony’s developers, with Marvel’s Spider-Man on the PS4 having sold over 20 million units, being the fastest selling playstation game, and being a critical and commercial phenomenon.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales showing similar succes, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart being considered the quintessential PS5 title, showing off the systems incredible potential, and being one of the highest rated games in 2021. Not to mention their already impressive history over the past 20 years.

Sony has definitely noticed, with Insomniac being given more and more financial support, manpower, and creative freedom. This has allowed Insomniac to consistently  create incredible games, and with that they have announced that there are at least 2 more games in production.

One is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a sequel to one of the PlayStation’s greatest successes, which we have known was in development for a while, though its release date and reveal were just announced.

The other, just announced, is another Marvel licensed game, (One wasn’t enough or them) based on one of the most famous Marvel superheroes in history. Wolverine. Not only a massively popular and famous character, its also one that hasn’t been used a lot recently, due to Disney pushing non X-Men Marvel for the last decade. Since the FOX purchase, he’s started to reappear in games.

But now Insomniac is going to create a full Wolverine game, exclusive to PS5, and if its even half as good as what they’ve been putting out, it will undoubtedly be an incredible game filled with love and detail to his rich history.

We don’t have a release date yet, but with the promise of more news to come, it has quickly become one of the most interesting, and in my opinion, most anticipated games for the system, Bub.
