We all know the story by now: before the release of The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog broke the news that the game wouldn’t feature the multiplayer Factions mode because it ‘grew beyond’ any type of bonus mode that was going to be included with the game.
The Last of Us Part II released last summer, as it went on a warpath winning hundreds of awards, yet many still wonder what is going on with this multiplayer project. The most we’ve heard is random job post here and there, along with Neil Druckmann asking us to wait a bit longer.
Don’t worry, whatever this multiplayer mode has evolved to today, Naughty Dog is treating it like royalty. The official Twitter Naughty Dog recruiting account tweeted out they’re still have plenty of positions available for this mysterious MP game.
Vinit Agarwal, Co-Game Director at Naughty Dog, took it upon himself to let it be known the team is ‘aggressively’ hiring to fill positions for their first standalone MP game that will be a ‘cinematic experience between players’.
We're aggressively hiring – apply if you want to be part of bringing the cinematic experience between players in our new standalone multiplayer action game. https://t.co/SHtU4AKyI7— Vinit Agarwal (@vinixkun) August 27, 2021
Damnit, Brah! This is Naughty Dog. They ain’t going to half-ass this game. With Outbreak Day 2021 coming up next month, could we finally see their multiplayer project on September 26th?
