The Man who performed one of the best performances in a video game when he ‘became’ Kratos in God of War 2018 is prepared to leave his mark on another mighty character: the Black Panther in the upcoming War for Wakanda expansion that’s coming to Marvel’s Avengers this August!

Christopher talked to EW about how he initially turned down the role when first asked.

I turned it down straight awayudge told EW over Zoom There’s many Black Panthers, but I really didn’t believe that anyone should ever do T’Challa again [after Boseman]. The actual talks proceeded and, basically, I wound up doing it because my mother and my children said if I didn’t do it, they would disown me.

To be quite honest, I was fearful of being compared to what Chadwick had so wonderfully done. The only way I could really wrap my head around it was to not even attempt a voice match, to let my performance stand on its own. I put all that into it and hopefully people like it.

One of the bigger surprises from the article is how much the War for Wakanda expansion adds to the game, as Entertainment Weekly says the core game plus the expansions totals to more than 25 hours of content! That’s pretty damn meaty for a free expansion, so Brah Yeah! Bring it on my friends.

Will you be returning to Marvel’s Avengers to take a visit to the Nation of Wakanda this August?
