The Horizon Forbidden West Gameplay reveal last week had it all: jaw-dropping graphics. Epic gameplay. Improved melee combat. New dinobots. So much greatness.

The one thing it didn’t have? A release date. I’m afraid we might have some bad news. Hermen Hulst had a semi-positive statement on HFW‘s release date:

So we have, currently, two very big, very narrative-driven games in development: Horizon Forbidden West and the next God of War. And for both of those, they’re frankly affected by access to performance capture and talent. For Horizon, we think we are on track to release this holiday season. But that isn’t quite certain yet, and we’re working as hard as we can to confirm that to you as soon as we can.

Soooooo..maybe? Maybe not. Guess it depends on how much crunch the team doesn’t mind going through the rest of this year.
