The Dragon Quest 35th anniversary event went live overnight, giving us 6 different Dragon Quest games!
While a few of them might stay in Japan, the newly announced Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is using the Octopath Traveler engine giving it that retro yet modern look that OT created.
It is being developed by Team Asano and AMATA K.K and they hope the look of the game will give everyone “the chance to experience the game through fresh eyes, from adults who played the original back when it was first released, to little kids picking it up for the first time.” Hell yeah!
Dragon Quest III is one of the most popular entries of the series, so you know this is going to be big in Japan. It’s coming to ‘consoles’ with a simultaneous worldwide release when it’s ready!
For now enjoy this glorious reveal trailer!
