Dead by Daylight is now 5 years old, and to celebrate, they are announcing multiple of future content and updates, the big one being the next upcoming chapter

The newest chapter is Resident Evil, introducing The Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 as a brand new killer, Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 1 and 3 and Leon S Kennedy from Resident Evil 2 and 4 as new Survivors, and a new map based on the Police Station from Resident Evil 2

The Nemesis is a powerful and imposing killer, you are able to use his tentacle to attack from a long distance, and infecting survivors with the T-Virus, which will damage them and make them cough and vomit, drawing the killers attention. The More survivors that are infected, the more powerful Nemesis becomes. Also, as a first for the game, the killer will be aided by ai characters, Whenever someone is playing Nemesis, the map will be littered with a number of zombies. They will be slow-moving, and survivors will be able to actually kill them, but they are still able to damage and infect survivors. If you are infected as a survivor, you can find a vaccine hidden in the map, but there are only a limited number per match, so you have to be careful.

Jill Valentine’s Perks will specialize in her survivability and ingenuity in impossible odds, and Leon’s will specialize on his dedication to protecting allies, one of them will introduce a new item, A flashbang, which can be created in match with that perk.

The new map is the Raccoon City Police Station, created faithfully from Resident Evil 2 Remake. Including the main hall, the S.T.A.R.S Office, The Chief’s office, the statue storage room, the library, the helicopter crash, the office where Leon didn’t get his party, among others. Also, the map will change chests to be visually based on the box from Resident Evil 2. However, it has some changes caused by the Entity’s grim designs.

Purchasing the DLC will also grant a new charm of the Umbrella Logo, usable on both survivors and killers.

This will be the first time the two biggest horror game franchises, Resident Evil and Silent Hill have ever appeared together ever. Alongside other Franchises such as Left 4 Dead, Halloween, Stranger Things, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Evil Dead, and Ghost Face, with more to come,  alongside their original characters.

The Resident Evil Chapter will be fully released on June 15th, for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One And Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. but the Player’s Test Build will allow some early gameplay of it on PC, starting today.
