After what seemed like weekly updates at the beginning of the PS5’s short life, Sony went silent for over a month between their last PS5 system software update and today’s fix that is now LIVE to download!

Still no word on when they’ll update my bad habit of holding down the PlayStation button on my DualSense controller thinking that the quick menu power off settings will appear. But hey! A Brah can dream, right?

  • In rare cases, the PS4 version of a game would install from the disc after you upgraded to and installed the PS5 version. Now, when you insert the PS4 game disc, the PS4 version won’t install unexpectedly.
  • You can now select and edit video clips using Share Factory Studio from your media gallery.
