If you weren’t gaming on a PlayStation device in 2020 then you were missing out on some fantastic gaming, Brah! With games like The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Dreams, Demon’s Souls, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Combine those with timed-exclusives such as Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Fall Guys and third-party exclusives like Persona 5 Royal and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, gaming was stacked on the PlayStation ecosystem of consoles in 2020.

Now that award season is going on, Sony is being bombarded with awards left and right, but the NAVGTR awards could be their biggest yet! Sony as a publisher has 70(!!) nominations, as The Last of Us Part II broke the single-game nominee record with 24. Ghost of Tsushima followed with 21, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales with 20 combined with other games receiving nominations such Nioh 2, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, etc.

The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers is a non-profit organization of 1,200 voters and over 12,000 subscribers. You can read the full list of nominations across 57 categories here.
