As Jedi, we are to trust in the Force. Well, if you’re a Playstation 5 owner, that trust has paid off.

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment has just announced that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has a new Next Gen Optimization Update that is live.

The game should now see improved frame rate, improved dynamic resolution ranges, and improved post-processing resolution for Next Gen Consoles improving the game for backwards compatibility performance.

The specific features for the PS5 are:

  • Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up from 45 FPS)
  • Postprocessing increased to 1440p
  • Dynamic resolution has been disabled and the game is rendering at 1200p (up from 810-1080p)

It’s nice to see Last Gen games continue to get Next Gen upgrades. If you can improve something, why not do it? It’s like the Millennium Falcon. That ship is always getting constantly upgraded.
