While most of us who have been lucky enough to get their hands on a PS5 have been loving the experience so far, it hasn’t been without issues.
Random crashes. Random hard crashes. Issues with external hard drives. Systems not being able to detect updates. Issues with putting your system in rest mode. The list goes on and I’m sure we’ve all experienced a few issues here and there.
This morning PS5 firmware update 20.02-02.30.00 arrived, weighing in at 868.1MB.
Here’s the official update notes courtesy of PlayStation:
- This system software update improves system performance
- Resolved an issue where data transfers and downloads were cancelled when trying to download content while a data transfer from a PS4 is in progress.
- Some issues that were causing errors during text input in some PS4 games have been resolved.
- The connection stability has been improved for some Wi-Fi routers.
There is also a DualSense update that’ll prompt immediately after this update is complete, so make sure you have a USB cable ready!
