Bluepoint Games, developer of the highly anticipated launch title, Demon’s Souls, has just revealed that From Software’s Hidetaka Miyazaki, has given them his blessing for the project.

This information comes to us from an interview with Gamespot. When asked about Miyazaki’s involvement in the project, a question many have speculated on, creative director Gavin Moore said:

So, the orginal creators Miyazaki and From Software, gave their blessing and they were happy for us to go forward and make this game. Now, all of that development was handled by Worldwide Studios and Bluepoint Games, but we made sure that we stayed true to their vision.

That’s incredibly important. We’re massing fans of Miyazaki’s games, and so making sure that what we created was true to his vision, that was the gold standard.

The simple fact that Bluepoint Games have gone out of their way to reach out to Miyazaki and talk to him about the project to get his input, is a strong indication of just how passionate the team is when ensuring that they get this thing absolutely right.

Demon’s Souls launches alongside the PlayStation 5 on November 12 and November 19th.
