Much controversy has surrounded the Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered edition, seeing as how can you can only obtain it via buying Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition instead of being a free upgrade for the original PS4 version.
Insomniac Games wants gamers to know this isn’t your basic run of the mill remaster, as they shared plenty of information regarding the Remastered edition today. The biggest shock? That Peter is getting a major facelift for the PS5.
Thats right! Our boy Peter looks way more Tom Holland than ever before, as Insomniac Games explained the situation in a post on the PlayStation Blog:
This does bring us to one of the bigger changes. In order to bring the best performances to players with our next-generation Marvel’s Spider-Man games, we have recast the face of Peter Parker. We loved working with John Bubniak on the original game; however, to get a better match to Peter Parker/Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture, we have cast Ben Jordan to be the face model for Peter Parker on the PS5 console. He looks incredible in-game, and Yuri’s moving performances take on a new life.

Still with me? Don’t worry. Insomniac is taking the time to overhaul the game, adding ray-tracing, a 60fps performance mode, a new and improved photo mode, new textures, DualSense functions, nearly Instantaneous load times, new sky and weather system, and more. Here is the first look at the 60fps mode!
Want new suits? Of course you do! Here’s a look at the first of three new suits: The Amazing Spider-Man suit that fans have been asking for!
