Only 10 more sleeps until The Last of Us Part II will be in our hands, ready to unleash the next barbaric chapter in Ellie and Joel’s story of survival in a post-apocalyptic world.

We here at The PlayStation Brahs have predicted that TLoU2 could become Naughty Dog’s best-selling game ever and could possibly demolish any previous record holders as the best-selling PlayStation Studios title ever as well.

What does that mean regarding the next major title from the Naughty ‘Gods’ as proclaim by some? We know there’s a team working on some form on a Factions mode. Hell, if you look hard enough you can find footage online from the various leaks this year that features gameplay of the MP portion of the game.

In an interview with GQ, Creative Director Neil Druckmann claims their next project is still undecided.

As you start wrapping things up, creatively there are fewer and fewer responsibilities and my mind can’t help but think about the next thing. So yeah, the next thing could be a Part III, the next thing could be some new IP. Ultimately, the best idea wins.

I’m not buying it! I do believe that ND is working on a new IP for the PlayStation 5. Entertainment Reporter Daniel Richtman posted back in October of 2018 that Naughty Dog was looking for a male lead for a secret project!

Hell, he even posted information of what exactly the team was looking like for this major role.

Was this for a new IP? Perhaps some type of storyline for the Factions mode? Time will tell, but before then let’s enjoy the hell out of The Last of Us Part II when it releases on July 19th.
