If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past three years of running this website is that there is a small bit of truth to almost any (reasonable) rumor you come across. While we do our best to cover what is most likely the truth, sometimes we ‘get got’ and report something incorrectly.

Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok got us good last week when ‘Gamestop Italy’ leaked a Mjolnir edition of said game. It was ultimately fake but what about the game in question? Is Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok even the real deal?

Gaming Industry Analyst Daniel Ahmad, better known on Twitter as ZhugeEX, took to ResetEra to clarify all the misinformation: the game isn’t even called Ragnarok!

“For what it’s worth. All of the new AC leaks so far have been incorrect. It’s not even called Ragnarok. Sure. Some of the details are right. Like improved combat or whatever. But in general they’re not that accurate.

“These recent leaks are based on the original AC Kingdom leak from Kotaku itself. So some of it is true or not far off the truth. But mostly it’s a bunch of educated guesses. as above, the final name isn’t even Ragnarok.”

There you have it, folks! The name of the next Assassin’s Creed is still unknown to us simple folk. What does this mean for the reveal? Does this mean the February reveal has been debunked also?! Stayed tuned to The PlayStation Brahs for all your Assassin’s Creed news!
