Check out this 3D action-adventure game coming to the PlayStation 4 that almost feels like a mash up of Portal Knights and Ratchet & Clank. Pretty good company if you ask most people. You play as Galand who has been cursed by a witch and is now suffering from premature old age. Don’t worry though there is no walker needed for Galand as he can surf around on his magical shield. To regain his youth he must fight his way through evil creatures in the region of Oblena and face the witch that has cursed him. Effie looks very promising and I would love to see everyone out there doing their best shield surfing.

198X (PC, PS4)
Developer: Hi-Bit Studios
Release date: June 20th, 2019
198X gives me the feeling I am inside a weird futuristic movie such as Blade Runner but with the soundtrack from the Movie Drive. This isn’t exactly the case in the “Over-the-top” arcade style game that wants to blur the lines between game and reality. So are we getting pulled into the game? I think not but with its multiple play styles here you might feel as if your life is a part of the game. In each stage you encounter a different style of play like The Beat’em Up a hard- hitting no nonsense street fighting that seem like a throwback to games like Double Dragon. Perhaps you like the racing in arcade games and well, 198X provides that with a rocket fuel induced gameplay like Rad Racer. The game is inspired by the classics and for this we thank the developers for creating a unique mesh and bringing them together.
*The Beat’em Up.
*The Shoot’em Up.
*The Racing Game.
*The Ninja Game.
We. The Revolution (PS4, Xbox One, Switch)
Release date: June 25th, 2019
We. The Revolution kind of had my jaw open is I watched the trailer. I wasn’t expecting something as brutal but that is definitely what you get. The art style is unique and the sounds of the game are fantastic. The game is set in Paris during the time of the French Revolution and you get to play as a judge. You will judge not only criminals but innocent people as well in the game. That would mean you must do your “due diligence” when it comes to studying the evidence in a case. Be careful because the decisions you make will have an impact on the game. Just watch the trailer if you don’t believe me. Good luck with not losing your head over this one.
*Gritty Atmosphere – France during one of the bloodiest periods of its history.
Political Intrigue – Build intrigue with which you will eliminate the elites of Paris’ political scene.
Generated Events – Randomization of game events ensures that no two playthroughs are the same.
The Sinking City (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Release date: June 27th, 2019
Here we have a game that personally I am ready to dive head first in to this world. The Sinking City had me hooked with the H.P Lovecraft angle but what really sets off the excitement is the investigative part of the game. Playing as Charles W. Reed you must investigate Oakmont, Massachusetts and the mysterious flooding that is threatening to sink the city. Of course while you are investigating odd things start happening and before Charles knows what is going on, he is questioning his own sanity. That coupled with the investigative work having an impact on the gameplay if done well can make this game thrive. I look forward to diving into the madness and seeing if Charles can somehow come out on the other side…still sane of course.
*Visit 1920’s Oakmont a city on the eastern seaboard of the United States.
*Open World afflicted by a supernatural flood.
*Play as Charles W. Reed and investigator seeking the truth.
*Withstand the assaults of creatures from an older world.
*A mind twisting adventure inspired by the horrific universe of H.P Lovecraft.
