Well, it looks like Sony is filing patents for something special or it could be nothing at all. The patent that was filed last week, shows what looks to be prescription glasses with eye tracking. But if you notice something, this doesn’t appear to be for a new VR headset as much as the prescription glasses that enable eye tracking almost in a way like the Tobii Eye Tracker works in a way for PC, but it would work in Virtual Reality.

But would getting a pair of prescription glasses with eye tracking actually be the next step in the evolution for Virtual Reality? Could this be the next logical step to enhance the next version of PlayStation VR 2.0?

Looking at this a bit more and how the glasses might add to the headset only gets me excited for what next evolution of Virtual Reality and really what PlayStation VR will actually bring to the table and how it will enhance not only our game play, but the over all experiences.
