Sony announced the discontinuation of PS Vita cartridges in 2018, as they slowly continued to hammer the nails in the PlayStation Vita’s coffin.

While Sony already broke news that 2019 would be the final year for the Vita, now the biggest nails yet have been driven deeply in its soul: upon visiting the official Japanese pages for the remaining two PS Vita models (PCH-2000 ZA11 Blackand PCH-2000 ZA23 Aqua Blue), you’re greated with a dire message. “Shipments are scheduled to end soon.”

It has been a long and tumultuous journey for PlayStation’s handheld successor, but it has been a glorious one for us Gamers! As 1st and 3rd party support began to dwindle, Japenese and indie studios flocked to the mighty handheld despite Sony’s best attempts to let it die. Hell, 7 (going on 8 in Japan!) years later and we’re still getting new games on a weekly basis. I’ll make a bet right now! There will be over 30 releases for it in 2020! BET ME, BRAH!!!!

For all of the surviving members of Vita Island, what are some of YOUR favorite Vita gaming memories?
