Flashback to a few years ago, to when Hideo Kojima went on a “world tour” to SIE’s WWS, searching for the perfect engine to fuel Death Stranding. He ultimately decided upon Guerrilla Games’ mighty impressive Decima engine which powered the graphical powerhouse known as Horizon Zero Dawn and many other Guerrilla projects.
Back to the present as three years later Kojima and crew have taken the time to visit the team at Guerrilla to showcase his latest project. It did NOT disappoint.
Mathijs de Jonge, Director of HZD, was left ‘speechless’ by the newest look at DS.
Very impressive what we saw today, left me speechless… https://t.co/BQSvNYA4Zx

Hermen Hulst, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Guerrilla Games was also lucky enough to see this new footage.
Three years ago we gave @KojiPro2015_EN a copy of our @DecimaEngine in this box. Today @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN came back to @Guerrilla to show us the incredible things he’s making with it in #DeathStranding. So impressed! pic.twitter.com/8dLpdIh1bI

Micheel Leeuw, Techinal Director at Guerrilla Games also chimed in on the presentation.
And what an amazing demonstration it was. So proud of what you've achieved!

Dennis Zopfi, Lead Combat & Robot design for Guerrilla Games also gushed over what he saw from Kojima, calling it ‘inspiring’ among many other positive adjectives!

Angie, much like Mathijs, was also left speechless. Death Stranding seems to have that kind of impact of even the most successful of developers!
So incredibly impressed today! Left me speechless… 🙌 https://t.co/bxriZ2Twcz

While we here at The PlayStation Brahs do NOT believe Death Stranding is a 2019 release, we do believe it will receive a whale-sized information drop later this year.
