Poor PlayStation Vita. Sony was once so proud of their successor to the PSP, but then quickly changed ship and decided to pull the rug out from under its feet.

While Sony gave up on it years ago, third party companies still support it with a barrage of indies and japanese titles. Unfortunately most of those titles fail to make any type of splash as the Vita’s life slowly comes to an end.

Mat Piscatella of the NPD group was nice enough to provide us Gamers with the Lift to Date list of the Top Ten Best Selling Vita games in the U.S. as of September 2018! The list certainly isn’t that shocking, showing that Owners supported it mightily early on, as third party titles dominating the list, unlike some other popular handhelds of the past.

The Top Ten Selling PS Vita games according to the NPD based on dollar sales are:

1. Uncharted: Golden Abyss

2. Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified

3. Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation

4. Mortal Kombat 2001

5. LittleBigPlanet

6. Need for Speed: Most Wanted

7. Killzone: Mercenary

8. Persona 4 Golden

9. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

10. Unit 13

As you can see, once Sony chose to ignore the Vita, so did consumers as most games on this list released within the first two years of the Vita’s life. While the PS Vita still lives on, it would’ve been awesome to see what the handheld could have been if It received the same same support that the PlayStation Portable did back in glory days.

Oh well, VITA WILL ALWAYS MEAN LIFE!! What are some of YOUR favorite Vita games? Let us know in the comments below!
