Over the past weekend a bunch of idiots with nothing better to do figured out that sending random characters in PSN messages that the PS4 couldn’t recognize would cause the recipient’s PS4 to soft crash. It was quite the debacle and at this point in the life of the PlayStation Network, a little embarrassing.

Thankfully a new Firmware update, 6.02 is now available to squash any issues regarding that crap. Coming in around 447MB, it won’t take much space on your HDD.
