After playing the Resident Evil 2 Remake demo at E3 2018, several fans of the site wanted to know if the game would feature a PSVR mode similar to that of Resident Evil 7. Rumors persisted before the reveal that it would be, yet nothing was mentioned about it, until now.

Capcom Producers Tsuyoshi Kanda and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi confirmed with the Daily Star that the Remake will not have a PSVR mode, as it doesn’t match their “vision” of the game.

We’re not thinking about VR support currently, given that the camera perspective and the over-the-shoulder choice would mean that VR is not the best way to present the game. VR doesn’t match the vision for us.

Said Mr. Kanda on the possibility of PlayStation VR support. So there you have it! While I didn’t expect that the game would have PSVR support, it would’ve certainly been a kick-ass addition!

By the way! If you’ve yet to experience it, Resident Evil 7′s PSVR mode is one the best games to play on the PlayStation VR! You can find the game for $15 new. We highly recommend you also buy a new pack of undies, Brah. Believe me.
