You knew there had to be a revision down the line and on the anniversary of the PlayStation VR launch, we have information of a new model CUH – ZVR 2. So what is different with this model you might be asking? Well let’s take a look.
As you can see from the pic, integrated headphones built into the rear of the unit. There will also be consolidated cables into a slimmer one and the processor unit will now support HDR. So yes no more having to unplug the HDMI cable to get that HDR greatness. But the headset would retail around the normal price of $398 (rumor) or who knows there it could have a different price all together.
Along with the new headset are new Move Controllers. Now don’t get too excited as these are not the Move Controllers witht the analog stick for movement, but will include Micro USB as it will be the same USB port found on the Dual Shock 4 controllers and it will include a bigger from the 1380 mAh to the new 1900 mAh battery.
Now there has not been an official release here for the new models and it could be Japan only or maybe just maybe there will be a version 2.0 of the PlayStation VR headset and who knows that we may actually get these Move Controllers.
Now the question is if we do in fact get the 1.2 version of the PlayStation VR headset that will allow HDR pass through and with the updated more simplified cable system, would you upgrade or are you happy with the current state that it is in now?
