Annnnnd there you have it. Big Daddy EA HAS STRUCK AGAIN!! Did you enjoy Mass Effect: Andromeda and can’t wait for the next chapter in the series? Well, I’m afraid I have some bad news for you: EA has put the series on hold after the disaster that was the ME:A launch.

According to Kotaku, Bioware Montreal has been  turned into a ‘support’ company, with half of the team moving on to EA Motive to help develop Star Wars Battlefront II. The rest of the team will assist with Bioware’s newest IP ‘Dylan’ and other Bioware projects.

While the Mass Effect series isn’t finished, EA is going to let the series rest for awhile, hoping fans might forget about this entire fiasco. This isn’t going to stop the team from releasing more updates for Andromeda are still being produced, with the latest arriving today.

If you want to read more in-depth about the story, here’s the source for the article. It’s a sad story for a once highly regarded franchise. Perhaps one day it will reclaim its former glory.
