E3 will be here before we know it, so everyone’s hype level is starting to build. One of the bigger games shown at Sony’s press conference at E3 2016 was Bend Studio’s Days Gone. Open-world gameplay. Bikers. Motorcycles. TONS of Zombie-like creatures. A serious storyline. GUNS. What more could you ask for? Watch the trailer, if you (somehow) missed it.

How about a 2017 release date? Weeelllll, if a recent “release date” from an Australian retailer ‘Gamesonly’ is any indication, we won’t have to wait much longer, for they have causally dated it for release on August 22. Which is a Tuesday. Which would make sense in the US, but most major releases launch on Fridays overseas.

Let’s be reaslistic though, we haven’t heard about the game since the PS4 Pro unveiling in September. Then Bend Studio’s last tweet on September 8.

They’re too busy making the damn game, Brah!!! If it arrives in 2017, more power to them! 50/50 chance it’ll happen. From what I’ve researched, the game started “full production” in 2015. So. I don’t know. I always try to remain optimistic, although you still gots’ to be realistic. These major releases take 100+ people to develop and years to finish.

If this rumor is true, BRAH YEAH!! If not, I’ll continue to wait. Patiently, because I have waaaaay too many other games to finish before then.

Stay tuned to The PlayStation Brahs for all your Days Gone news!
