(UPDATE 2!!) PlayStation Ireland clarified the meaning of their tweet from earlier this week.

(UPDATE!) PlayStation Ireland has since REMOVED the Tweet.

Ever since the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was revealed at E3 2016, gamers across all consoles have wondered: Are the remakes of the original Crash Bandicoot Trilogy exclusive to the PS4? For clarification, Sony published the original trilogy, while Activision OWNS the Character(s). It’s a bit of grey area. No one has confirmed if it is or not, until now? Maybe?

The PlayStation Ireland account responded to a gamer earlier this morning asking about the exclusivity of the title.

Take it with a grain of salt. Perhaps whoever is running that twitter handle believes it be true. Eh. Doubt anyone on either Sony’s side or Activision’s side is going to give a solid answer. My guess? Sony gave them a truck-load of money for a year of exclusivity. I doubt a third-party company the size of Activision would leave ‘money on the table’. Who knows? Do you know? Because I certainly don’t.

All I know is that the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy hits on June 30 and I can’t wait to play it again!
