As some of you know The Brah and his good pal, Slick Rick, attended PlayStation Experience 2016! Once the jaw-dropping Showcase was over (The Last of Us Part II!!), we hauled ass to the show floor, looking for our first game to play. After discovering that the Resident Evil 7 demo station was already full for the day, we continued onward until we discovered..my gawd!! Playable Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy demos!!! BRAH! IT’S GAME TIME!!!
I love me some Crash, but my pal Slick is getting a Tat. Of our favorite Bandicoot, so like any good gentlemen would do, I let him play first. He choose N. Sanity Beach and the first thing I noticed is how beautiful the game is. Developer Vicarious Visions is doing an amazing job of going back and giving our boy one helluva facelift!! Colors pop in HD! Crash is actually furry now! Plus all kinds of little details have been added. You can SEE the fruit crammed inside of crates now. Wow. Plus Crash’s animation? Pixar ain’t got nothing on these guys!
When it was finally my chance to play the demo (And after a brief chat with a Naughty Dog developer!!!!), I was ready to see how Crash controlled after all these years. Not to worry, as controlsare spot-on! Even the most precise jumps were easy to make! Crash controlled like butter and that’s some important sh!t in platformers, ya know.
While we’re still not entirely sure if this Trilogy of games will stay Exclusive to the PS4 (Doubt it) or exactly what Activision’s plans are for the franchise after it releases (For a scant $40!!!!), the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy looks like it will be a maginificent Remaster for us long-time fans and will help open doors so that new fans to can jump-in to the series. Either was, this Trilogy is gonna be a Crash bash, Brah!
The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy spins onto the PlayStation 4 in 2017.
